This piece was designed for the Hattember Millinery Competition.
The theme was Beyond the Bloom.
The title of the piece is “Where have all the bees gone?” I used the theme prompt to address the devastating environmental impact of the declining bee population.
This piece received 3rd place.
The main body is a straw trimmed with a crin swirl and delicate feather flowers. This piece is positioned on a wired headband and secured using an elastic and a comb.
